🐠 Return & Refund Policy

At The Betta Boutique, we take pride in the health and quality of every Betta fish we ship. As live animals are sensitive to shipping conditions, we do not accept general returns. However, we do offer refunds or replacements under specific conditions as outlined below.
 

📦 Live Arrival Guarantee

We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee for all Betta fish shipped directly from our boutique. To qualify for a refund or replacement:

  • You must report the issue within 24 hours of the delivery time shown by the shipping carrier.

  • You must provide a clear photo of the deceased fish:

    • Inside the original, sealed shipping bag

    • Still placed within the shipping box

Refunds will not be approved if:

  • The fish was removed from the sealed bag before the photo was taken

  • The report is submitted after the 24-hour window

  • Shipping address was incorrect or incomplete at checkout

Approved cases may be issued store credit or a replacement fish (based on availability). Refunds to the original payment method are not guaranteed.
 

❌ No Returns

Due to the delicate nature of live animals, we do not accept returns of any kind, even for healthy fish. This policy protects the health of all our stock and ensures we are not exposing other fish to potential contamination.
 

📨 How to File a Claim​

If your fish arrives deceased under the conditions outlined above:

  1. Take a photo of the unopened bag inside the shipping box.

  2. Email the image, your name, and order number to:

  3. Wait for a reply within 1–2 business days. Our team will evaluate your claim and respond with next steps.
